Sectors A & D are the reclaimed waterfront also known as Beirut’s New Waterfront District. Being one of the most prominent projects in the region, the New Waterfront District project has the goal of expanding and reactivating the Traditional City Center or the historic hub of Beirut. In addition to various public open spaces (namely a park with a total area of 80,000 m2, a Corniche of some 40,000 m2) the prestigious district will be developed into a mix of private residential, retail, leisure, cultural, office and facilities all to be serviced by state-of-the-art infrastructure utilities to be implemented in the reclaimed land area.

Laceco was appointed as Lead Consultant for the production of concept design, preliminary design, detailed design, tender documents, and tender award and execution supervision for more than 10 km roads and high-end infrastructure works. In addition, Laceco is to provided the Employer with a concept design and preliminary design for public underground car parks (total built-up area around 85,000 m2; 2,000 cars).
