Education, Health & Religious

The Lebanese University Campus in Fanar was conceived to be a pole of educational activity for the northeast area of Beirut. A number of social science faculties were grouped into a site belonging to the Lebanese University, thus creating a multidisciplinary campus inclusive of: Literature, Communication, Education and Sociology faculties, in addition to the already present branch of the Sciences faculty. The proposed project blended the existing buildings with the new ones, sitting atop a partially buried public car park.
Extensive landscaping work and ample open areas provided the needed recreation space for a potential student body of 12,000 students.
